Backplane Enterprise
A boundary we drew early, so nobody has to guess where the open-source product ends. Today this page is deliberately small: enterprise capabilities are planned, not shipped, and we don't present futures as products.
What stays open source, permanently
The platform, the MCP server, and the runner: the whole working product. Self-hosted, AGPL core, MIT runner. Nothing you rely on today moves behind a paywall.
What enterprise will mean
Advanced governance for organizations: centralized management of Backplane's own agent identities and keys, and organization-level budget controls. Never your provider LLM keys. Backplane ships no intelligence, and that boundary is permanent.
Where it stands
Planned. The first paid capability doesn't exist yet, and until it does, there's nothing to sell you here. If your organization wants to shape this, or needs a managed deployment, we'd genuinely like to talk.
